Hello fellow Science teachers,
I have decided to share a product that I have developed and fine tuned a year or so ago. The Cells and Cell Structures unit might be a tricky unit to teach because of the vast sources available. I have put effort into finding great resources which can be found online, and also use great strategies to teach certain concepts. I believe that you, grade 8 Science teacher, will find the unit plan effective and helpful.
One of the strategies that I like in the unit plan is that students will be able to create a role play on the various elements within a cell. Students really enjoyed doing the role play, and they most definitely learn the terminology of many key terms of a cell.
If you are to decide to purchase the All About Cells unit plan at my store, please note that feedback will help me extend my knowledge of developing unit plans to perfection. Also, don't be shy to follow my blog and my store. I look forward to any comments, feedback, or questions. For a quick link to the unit plan, click here.
I have four years of teaching experience at the elementary level as well as some high school. The purpose of my blog is to share ideas and products with teachers that might need assistance. Also, I would like some feedback from other teachers as well on some of my ideas and products.

Water Systems
Hello fellow teachers,
As we are nearing the end of the 2013-14 school year, we tend to look for more ways to end the school year on a positive note. Student's minds are on the beautiful weather that is slowly coming forth, and it might be difficult to maintain and manage classrooms. Making things fun for students as they are learning can be the ultimate strategy to maintain a positive classroom environment.
Some teachers might be heading into the Water Systems unit for grade 8 Science towards the end of the year. What better time to teach about water systems than spring. One can link just about every lesson to the what is occurring outside of school. I spent hours creating a unit plan on Water Systems awhile ago which I still use to this day. Students enjoy the hands-on activities as well as the written assignments. Not only did students enjoy the unit, but I enjoy teaching it.
